Description
Rare g-plan cabinet (or secretaire as they were called at the time) from their redford range circa 1952. Redford is interesting as it was the last furniture marketed as e.gomme, the following year the company introduced g-plan, a huge success which changed furniture retail in the UK. There are clear design similarities between this range and the first g-plan range, brandon, the handles and the drop bureau front for example but the leg shape and lines across the front were changed. The front drawer pulls out and can drop to form a desk. The 2 door cabinet below has an internal recessed shelf. Finished in oak veneer. The back riser removes easily if desired. All in very good condition with some light signs of use to the top.
