Vintage serving dish duo Réal Opalor Export – bird design

Charming duo of vintage serving dishes by Réal Opalor Export, consisting of a scalloped round platter and an ear-shaped dish. The two pieces are united by a delicate decoration of birds among flowering branches, in soft shades of green, blue, brown, and red. A particularly contemporary naturalistic pattern that complements both a vintage table and a more modern decor. A fine vegetal frieze runs around the edge, and the scalloped contours are highlighted with gilding, giving the whole set a lot of elegance. The two shapes are different but perfectly coordinated: the round platter and the ear-shaped dish belong to the same decorative universe and form a lovely ensemble for presenting cakes, fruits, or other dishes. They can also be repurposed as decoration, particularly in a wall composition of antique crockery. Brand Réal Opalor Export on the reverse. Second half of the 20th century. Vintage condition: the dishes show wear to the gilding, particularly on some prominent parts of the edge, visible in the photographs. No chips or cracks.
