Charming sloped walnut desk from the Louis XV period, also known as a "dos d'âne" or drop-front secretary. It opens at the front with two drawers adorned with original wrought iron handles, topped with a drop-front featuring a central lock. The interior reveals a writing and storage space typical of desks from this era. The piece rests on four cabriole legs with an elegant curved shape, characteristic of the Louis XV style. The sides display a beautiful curve. The natural patina of the walnut, acquired over time, gives this piece an authentic charm. Beautiful quality of solid walnut, period wrought iron fittings. Normal signs of use, in good overall condition considering its age. The depth of the open secretary is 78cm.
