Pair of chairs by Maurice Pré, 1950

Chairs designed in the 1950s by Maurice Pré, with an ash structure and compass legs that form a handle above the seat, featuring a bold and futuristic construction for the time with a very interesting profile. The seat and backrest are covered in original red faux leather in good condition, with some signs of wear mainly at the corners and a small missing piece at one corner of the seat (see photos). The seat is mounted on zigzag springs with hessian and cotton padding, which was the traditional method of the time, before the arrival of synthetic foams. The structure is in good condition, stable and solid, with minor signs of wear on the varnish.
