Cutlery set for six people, Series 22, Pott Bestecke, Germany

Six forks and six knives from the 22 series, designed by carl hugo pott for his eponymous manufacturer. These are the official cutlery then offered at the munich olympic games village in 1972. The inspiration is resolutely bauhaus. Special mention for the shape of the knife, which is explained here by the desire to allow a dual use: the serrated part allowing to cut the meat while the smooth part plays the role of a traditional table knife. A design classic, rewarded by numerous prizes, including the triennale milano and the universal exhibition of brussels. Dimensions: - forks: ≃ h18.5 cm - knives: ≃ h21 cm in 18/10 stainless steel. Some light scratches from use for a really very good overall condition.
