Description
Pitcher says "jersey." it is a glossy enamel with earthenware from the uk. It was manufactured and marketed between 1805 and 1875 and imported by french sailors from the island of jersey (in france restoration era, louis-philippe). It was my mother-in-law, in the boulogne sur mer region, who received it as a gift from a very old sailor. The pitcher is in good condition, a few tiny traces or asperities of origin, in the enamel not due to accidents. Trace on the handle of an almost imperceptible renovation (see photo).
