Description
The ‘Golem’ set, consisting of two black lacquered curved wooden chairs, designed by Vico Magistretti for Carlo Poggi in 1968, stands as the epitome of Italian design. These chairs have a quite surreal appearance, they were inspired by the work of Scottish designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Vico Magistretti encountered Mackintosh’s creations at an exhibition and was deeply impressed. Mackintosh, an architect and designer (1868-1928), predates the Modern Movement, a movement later embraced by Magistretti himself. The chairs are in perfect condition, with only a few scratches.
