Description
In the taste of arp furniture and more particularly the work of guariche, pair of seated chairs and upholstered backrest trimmed with orange wool fabric mottled on a black lacquered square tubular metal structure, circa 1960. In good condition of use, note light marks and halos on the fabric (see photos). Larg: 45cm - prof: 43cm - top: 79cm - top seat: 50cm - pds (x1): 4kg. The arp (plastic research workshop) is an ephemeral association of 3 designers (michel mortier, j-andré motte and pierre guariche) which aims to offer french industrialists innovative furniture on the technical and stylistic level. The arp is created in oct.54, in 1955 the group wins the competition of the furniture of series. If the whole testifies to a homogeneous aesthetic each creator remains identifiable. In 1957, after having signed creations of great diversity, each one created its own design office.
