Terracotta vase made in the mid-1960s in West Germany by Hanns Welling and Ernst Borens at the Keto art studios. Hanns Welling, the studio's artistic director, created the designs and shapes for the ceramics. Ernst Borens was responsible for the decoration of the pieces, which were made using the slip technique with incised decoration and colored glaze inlays. On the vase for sale, the features of the two does are crisp, and the yellow and brown colors of their fur contrast with the unglazed background. The interior of the vase is glazed in light blue. The decorator's signature is impressed, and the vase bears the "Made in West Germany" and mold number 2007. Good condition, with minor scratches from use (see photos). Unique piece. Dimensions: Height 13 cm, opening diameter 5.5 cm, base diameter 8.5 cm. Weight without packaging: 535 g.
