Old farm table

19th century farm table in northern france. Very nice model of old farmtop opening through a drawer in side ties. Dating back to the end of the 19th century, it is a typical work in northern france. Composed of 2 distinct woods, oak and fir, these are woods widely used in this region at that time. The tray is made of fir planks finished by two against solid oak plinths. It has been restored to give it this aging wood effect. The same is true for the drawer, which is made of solid oak with a solid fir interior. The installation is at the heart of the very late 19th century, period 1880. The rectangular feet are solid oak and mounted on the ties. They were painted in satin black after a complete stripping. The whole thing was then varnished in order to provide protection to the whole against timenet make the table functional. This preparation was carried out in my furniture restoration workshop.
