Pair of Scandinavian brass wall candlesticks by Arthur Pe, Kolbäck, Sweden

Pair of modernist candlesticks in solid brass, made in the 1960s-70s. Circular wall base, the socket in pendulum. To be used with so-called "nordic" candles of +/- 12mm in diameter, or simply as wall decoration. Signed on the back. 2 pairs available. Very good condition with a beautiful patina. Created and made by arthur petterson, signed "arthur pe kolbäck". Arthur petterson was born in 1919 in kolbäck, sweden, where he lived and worked all his life. Arthur petterson trained in the field of metallurgy and created his own company "arthur petterssons mekaniska verkstad" in 1952 in the basement of his house. From that moment on, he designed and made brass candlesticks in his workshop. He continued this activity all his life, he did not retire, he just continued to create and produce brass candlesticks. Arthur pettersson was 96 years old when he died on july 28, 2015.
