The "Ultima 15" ashtray was created by the visual artist duo Beck & Jung [Bo Ljungberg (1942-2007) & Holger Bäckström (1939-1997)]. This original model is signed with the initials of the two creators (Bäckström and Ljungberg). This ashtray illustrates the sculptural fusion of a functional object and geometric art. This piece reflects the characteristic blend of graphic abstraction and experimentation. Made of white metal (aluminium), it features a square shape topped with a removable lid adorned with a relief pattern composed of repeated concave and convex geometric elements arranged in a tight grid. Its precise and systematic patterns echo the visual language of infographics and op-art from the 1970s, both of which strongly influenced the entire artistic output of Beck & Jung. *** Dimensions: 15 X 15 X 5.5 cm in height.
