Antique solid oak furniture – Rustic pantry from the pre-17th century
Remarkable antique piece of furniture made from solid oak, in the Renaissance tradition, which could date back to the 16th or 17th century. This piece of rural furniture is distinguished by its unique architecture, proportions, and the richness of its patina, acquired over time. Its façade features moulded panels, strong solid wood uprights, and a door adorned with long wrought iron hinges. The open lower part, resting on cut feet, gives the whole piece a particularly original silhouette. The traditional construction, the irregularities of the wood, and the marks of tools and use testify to an ancient artisanal manufacture. Some elements may have undergone restorations or modifications throughout its history. The furniture retains a superb deep and nuanced brown patina, highlighting the grain of the oak and the natural marks of time.
