This kindergarten school desk is a mobilor manufactured product (manufacturer of furniture for the community) from the 60's - 70's. The yellowed or flaking varnish was removed manually then sanding was carried out on the top while retaining the original patina. Obviously, slight traces of the schoolchildren of yesteryear exist but that is also what makes it so charming! The top has been glazed for better protection.
