Vintage jasba fat lava vase, orange and brown glazed ceramic with a central dark fat lava band, west germany ceramics from the 60s-70s, this vase is numbered 0201024 at the bottom. West germany was actually a collective name for ceramics that came on the market roughly between 1950 and 1990. Some well-known names are roth, carstens, ruscha, jopeko, jasba, fohr, but the biggest were perhaps scheurich and bay. The name jasba is composed of the first letters of the first and last name of the founder: jakob schwaderlapp, as well as those of the city where the factory was founded: baumbach.
