The Lettera 22 was designed in 1949 by Italian designer Marcello Nizzoli. It follows the Olivetti MP1, released in 1932. The style designed by Nizzoli draws its inspiration from the research work done for the Lexikon 80, and to which the designer collaborated. It is produced in the Olivetti factory located in Agliè. The Milan Triennial Museum holds 6 models of Lettera 22 in three different collections, including the permanent one. It is also on display in the permanent design collection of MoMA in New York. Many writers and journalists have found in Lettera 22 an ideal companion for their working days. These include Gunter Grass, Cesare Marchi, Enzo Biagi and Indro Montanelli. The latter never parted with his Lettera 22. Very nice state of preservation with its carry ingcase. Good working order. Additional new ribbon with machine sends. Sky blue color. Dimensions: width 30cm, depth 32cm, height 8cm.
