Swan chair, design Arne Jacobsen, published by Fritz Hansen

A true design icon, the swan armchair was originally created in 1958 by designer arne jacobsen for the lobby of the avant-garde hotel royal sas in copenhagen. Faded and stained fabric. The swan armchair and the swan sofa are part of a series of furniture specially designed for the hotel, the designer's ambition having been to recreate a "modern garden", its forms are rounded open and organic. The shell, made of fiberglass reinforced polyurethane, is covered with foam and the base is composed of a chrome and satin swivel part on a welded steel tube. The individual parts are welded and treated with matt zinc.
