Support console – Louis XVI style – Carved varnished wood – Early 20th century

Louis XVI style support console in carved varnished wood, a quality reproduction from the early 20th century, faithfully inspired by the neoclassical repertoire. The rectangular top with rounded corners is highlighted by a twisted gadrooned moulding. The frieze features a continuous bead motif as well as framed panels adorned with floral rosettes sculpted in medallions at the corners. The whole rests on four tapered fluted legs topped with acanthus leaf capitals. The varnish has a light honey/mahogany tone. The top shows some scratches and slight superficial wear; the overall condition remains very satisfactory. Cleaning to be done as needed. Dimensions: H. 95 cm – W. 160 cm – Estimated weight: 30 kg.
