Antique ceramic coffee pot made of red clay (terracotta), created by a ceramic artist. A piece of character, with a strong presence, where the material and the work of fire play a central role. The balanced and slightly curved shape is crafted from iron-rich clay, visible at the base left raw, revealing a warm paste with ochre tones. The body is covered with a dark brown-plum slip, then highlighted by a flowing green glaze, intentionally running, creating unique vertical drips. These glaze effects, related to firing and gravity, reflect a sensitive exploration of gesture, material, and controlled chance. The well-designed spout, generous and comfortable handle, and the curved lid with a simple knob give the whole piece both a utilitarian and sculptural reading. The underside features an unglazed foot and handwritten markings, without an identified manufacturer's stamp, suggesting a unique piece or a very small series. In excellent vintage condition. Natural traces related to firing, slip, and glaze, see photos. Height with lid 22.5 cm, height without lid 18 cm, width from spout to handle 22.5 cm, base diameter 8.5 cm, maximum diameter 11.5 cm. Estimated capacity approximately 60–70 cl. The accuracy of the shape, depth of its material, and original aesthetic resonate perfectly with interiors sensitive to material worlds, wabi-sabi, and soft brutalism.
