Dominoes game

Adorable game of dominoes in its small imitation snakeskin cardboard box. The dominoes seem to me to be made of very hard wood, lacquered orange-red, but a doubt persists...perhaps bakelite The game is complete and even contains the rules of the game in french and german. The rules of the game bear the logo of the brand “le vieux pané”, it is probably an advertising gift offered to restaurateurs and bar owners in exchange for an order or that individuals could obtain by collecting points. Given the size of the dominoes and therefore the box, it is a pocket or travel game, easy to slip into your bag or even a pocket. The “snake skin” aesthetic of the cardboard box suggests that this game dates from the 50s or 60s. The dominoes are in perfect condition, the cardboard has suffered a little, which seems quite normal for a game that has spanned the decades ! I applied three dots of glue to repair the torn edges of the lid part and two strokes of red and black pencils to hide a small abrasion on the snakeskin paper. Small abrasions remain on the corners. The box measures 7.7cm by 4.7cm with a thickness of 2.6cm. The dominoes measure 2 cm by 1 cm with a thickness of 0.5 cm.
