A unique Art Nouveau vase from the 1930s, made in Czechoslovakia from moulded glass with a characteristic matte finish and subtle iridescence. The cool, subdued blue colour is combined with a delicate sheen; the surface is decorated with embossed, stylised floral and leaf motifs that climb vertically along the slender body. The profile of the vessel is balanced: gently rounded shoulders transition into a narrow neck, ending in a wide, stable base. The vase has minor darker inclusions as well as patina and discolouration typical of its age, with no visible losses or cracks. The decorative elements are original, the whole is preserved in an unrestored form; good condition – with delicate signs of use, attesting to its authenticity. In this glass form, echoes of the Art Nouveau utopia resonate – a dream of nature enclosed in everyday objects. Iridescent light lazily moves across the satin surface, and the embossed flowers, as if caught in motion, recall the invisible wind sweeping through a garden from a century ago. The vase foretells the delicacy of the interwar period: each small flaw is merely a touch of time past, a story of old interiors and glass artefacts that witnessed the twilight of Art Nouveau and the advent of new styles. It is worth placing this vase on a light wood chest of drawers or a marble countertop, where natural light will emphasise its iridescent tone. It can be combined with simple, modernist vessels or a single branch to bring out the plasticity of the form and the decorative surface. It will fit well both in collector's interiors in the spirit of Art Nouveau and in eclectic arrangements where vintage meets contemporary. The effect will be complemented by a small botanical poster or a sculpture with an organic line placed nearby.
