Panthella floor lamp - Design by Verner Panton for Louis Poulsen

In the early 70's, verner panton designed the panthella lamp for danish manufacturer louis poulsen. It was to become a true icon of design, popular and sought after to this day. It still is one of the best lamps ever made. The panthella lamp was - and still is - made as a table lamp and as a floor lamp. This is the floor lamp, in pristine white. The white acrylic lamp shade sits on a sturdy base that is supported by a white metal frame. Early models had a round on/off switch located in the trumpet-shaped foot, later models have a foot switch that sits on the floor. This is an early model, supposedly made in the late 70's or early 80's. Some small traces of use aside, it is in excellent condition. No cracks or other damage to the lamp shade. This lamp uses a regular e27 light bulb, 150w max or led. Suited for both 110v or 220v with a eu-spec plug. It is in great condition, some regular traces of use aside. Marked with stickers inside the lamp shade and underneath the base.
