Glazed stoneware jug with a modernist and organic silhouette, featuring an elegant contrast between a deep satin brown body and a sandy beige neck with a mineral appearance. Its highly sculptural design, with a wide fluid handle and asymmetrical double opening, evokes European decorative productions from the 1970s. Balanced shape: generous base, understated lines, and typical material work of decorative stoneware from this period. Closer to a decorative vase-jug than a purely utilitarian piece, it also works very well alone as a decorative object. Semi-industrial European production in stoneware from 1968–1978, moulded model number 424 with the indication “2” under the base, characteristic of the modernist decorative series of the time. In beautiful vintage condition, with a few discreet firing irregularities and slight original manufacturing marks visible in places, notably a dent before firing at the base of the jug (see photos). Height 20 cm, diameter at the widest point 10.5 cm. Estimated capacity: approximately 85 cl. A piece with deep tones and understated lines.
