Pair of large church candlesticks – 110 cm. Magnificent and rare pair of large altar candlesticks (liturgical candelabra) in bronze and metal tubing, with an exceptional height of 110 cm. Pieces of 19th-century religious art, ideally proportioned, resting on a richly moulded tripod base. The slender baluster shaft leads to a wide bobeche topped with its original spike to hold large candles. With their authentic old patina and majestic presence, these torches will add a touch of High Period or very trendy neo-Gothic style to a contemporary interior or a cabinet of curiosities. Condition: Sold as is. These pieces bear a beautiful patina of time with some normal signs of use due to their age and practical use (see detailed photos for overall condition, slight marks of natural oxidation or wax).
