Asian pot with eight-petalled tulip body, with lid with orange handle. It is entirely painted with butterflies with whimsical wings, flying among colorful flowers, on a soft green background with black dots. The origins of this object are recalled by a signature in sinograms on the bottom. We imagine this coquettishly decorated lid jar contain delicacies or other frivolities. ****** Period: early twentieth century. Perfect condition. No cracks or chips. Size: Maximum width: 22 cm.
