Ancient painting, portrait of a man of letters signed dated 1863

Ancient table, oil on canvas depicting a bourgeois man, sitting in an armchair decorated with heads of lions, and on one side, a library and on the other side, a table covered with a doily. The right hand in the jacket and the left hand holding a partially open book. He's wearing a bow tie. He has a proud look, showing his success. The face is very expressive and the proportions of the painting very well done. It underwent a clean-up that partially brought out a signature (illegible) and a date 1863 on the left side next to the lion of the chair. Over time, it has undergone small restorations visible on the back by small pieces glued. It has an easy size to place anywhere with or without frame.
