Halluin tapestry “landscape of lauragais” based on an aubusson tapestry from the beginning of the 17th century. A more rustic style tapestry of greenery, this hanging describes a bucolic scene in the heart of a provincial landscape which has become the favorite theme of the regional tapestry centers. We visualize a farmer dreaming, his dog sleeping next to him, in front of a pond surrounded by trees where ducks are frolicking. A child plays with a dog. In the background, we see a beautiful residence and in the distance, a village at the foot of the mountains. Tapestry woven in a factory in the north of france on a jacquard loom.
