Very beautiful antique gien earthenware salad bowl, dating from the end of the 19th century, around 1880-1900. Rare model with a central paisley decoration (boteh) surrounded by brightly colored flowers: red, green, blue and yellow, finely drawn. The twelve-sided scalloped border adds an elegant and artisanal touch. This large salad bowl is a real collector's item, both utilitarian and decorative. It can be used as a centerpiece, fruit bowl, or hung on the wall as a vintage decoration. The reverse is stamped gien france with a blue floral decoration and has a pretty period crackle, typical of antique earthenware. Visible traces of time, including a small chip on the underside (not visible when placed), but this does not detract from its charm. ⸻ dimensions: diameter: approx. 29 cm height: approx. 9 cm ⸻ condition: good vintage condition. Visible cracks and chip on the reverse (see photos).
