1930s military suitcase storage box

This old suitcase will probably find a new life in a storage box, as is or revisited, displayed or slipped under a bed. It is made of wood painted in a khaki color, with pretty metal clasps patinated over the years. Given its color and its “simplicity”, I would opt for a military suitcase. It probably dates from the 1930s. The handle and the screws to secure it are present but were stored in the suitcase, and as they are very rusty, I did not put them back in place. A nut is missing, if I find one in my hardware store that fits I will attach it to the suitcase with the rest. I cleaned it with a damp cloth on the outside and a brush and vacuum cleaner on the inside. The suitcase is in good general condition, still very solid, the two parts fit together well, without screw holes, the clasps are functional (but no key, so the middle clasp is useless) but does not hide its age and signs of use: various marks and stains, abrasions of the khaki paint, the metal tabs which allowed the suitcase to be held open without the lid tilting backwards are present but are no longer functional (not fixed to each other). It measures 60 cm in length, 33.5 cm in width, and 16 cm in height.
