Daybed Barcelona by Mies van der Rohe - Knoll

I am selling this magnificent daybed model Barcelona, a centerpiece and iconic piece of 20th-century modernist design, designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe in 1930. It is an original piece edited by Knoll International, purchased in November 2016. The steel structure features the official Knoll Studio engraving guaranteeing its authenticity. Features and finishes: • Upholstery: High-quality genuine leather, gray/taupe color. The mattress is hand-tufted and made of meticulously assembled leather squares. • Bolster: Original cylindrical leather headrest, secured by its Velcro strap. • Structure: Solid walnut-stained wood frame, supported by 11 robust leather suspension straps. • Legs: Four polished stainless steel tubular legs. Condition of the furniture: The daybed is overall in very good general condition, stable and comfortable. The straps are well tensioned and the structure is impeccable; the mattress is neither sagging nor compressed. Being a second-hand piece that has been used, it shows some normal signs of wear that attest to its authenticity (visible in the photos): • Slight superficial scratches on the mattress. • Discreet wear on the leather at the corners. • Three fine residual ink pen marks. These elements are discreet and do not detract from the aesthetics or vintage charm of this exceptional piece.
