Empire chair

Restoration style chair (1815–1830) or Charles X, typical of French production in the early 19th century. Backrest: central carved crosspiece with a ring/circle motif surrounded by scrolls — very characteristic of the Charles X style. Legs: slightly sabre-shaped (curved forward at the front, backward at the back), typical of this period. Wood: mahogany or walnut stained mahogany, beautiful curve and old patina. Seat: period upholstery replaced with modern blue/turquoise fabric.
