Plastic cylindrical hairdresser Space Age on a metal star base by Bremshey & Co, Germany, circa 1970. A compact and ingenious piece characteristic of 1970s design. Its very sleek cylindrical shape completely conceals its functions when closed. The lid incorporates a mirror and lifts up thanks to an articulated arm, allowing it to be rotated and oriented for use. The interior features three removable storage compartments for beauty products, jewellery, and accessories. A functional piece with particularly reduced proportions, which can also be used as a small side table when closed. Very good overall vintage condition.
