Antique wooden and marble buffet console

This antique wooden console buffet (cherry wood) topped with a marble surface has been completely renovated with care to give it a new life while respecting its original charm. Its simple lines, beautiful wood tones, and renovated marble make it a piece that is both practical and elegant. Equipped with two drawers, a closed space with a lock and key (new), as well as an open niche, this piece combines aesthetics and functionality for everyday use. Every detail has been crafted with natural and eco-friendly products, in a sustainable renovation approach. After being fully sanded and cleaned, the buffet is protected with a bio-sourced furniture oil, leaving the wood with a matte and silky feel. The interior is left in its natural state, but the interior floor is oiled for easier cleaning. This console buffet is sturdy (and heavy!), the doors and drawers operate well, and the legs are stable. To maintain the authenticity of this antique piece, imperfections, irregularities, and previous wood repairs have been preserved: they give the piece a beautiful patina, which can be seen in the zoomed-in photos. The majority of the old woodworm holes have been filled, mainly present on the lower parts of the piece, and all have been treated preventively with a natural product free of harmful components. The marble top has been renovated, retaining the natural irregularities of the marble, and is in very good condition. Between the two drawers, a lock used to secure the drawers (it is no longer operational but has been preserved). Dimensions: Height 104 cm – Width 114 cm – Depth 43.5 cm. The open niche measures 26 cm in height, and the closed storage measures 35 cm high. Renovated antique piece – unique item.
