Description: Very complete table service in earthenware from the famous French manufacture of Badonviller, emblematic model Francine. Dating from the early 20th century (around 1900-1905), this service perfectly embodies the rustic-chic charm of the Belle Époque with its delicate country decor composed of bouquets of blue cornflowers and green foliage, enhanced by fine blue borders. Each piece bears the authenticity stamp of the pottery; the letter "F" present in the centre of these stamps refers to Théophile Fenal, director of the manufacture. Composition of the service (52 pieces): 32 flat plates (diameter: 22.5 cm) 11 deep plates (diameter: 22 cm) 1 large circular platter (diameter: 31.5 cm) 1 circular dish (diameter: 26.5 cm) 1 large soup tureen with lid (30.5 X 15 cm) 1 large oval platter (37.5 X 27 cm) 2 serving dishes (22 X 15 cm) 1 deep dish (diameter: 26.5 cm) 2 small deep dishes (diameter: 25 cm) Condition: The set is in very good condition, reflecting careful use over the decades. Note: Some plates have very small chips on the outer edge (invisible during use on the drinking side). The soup tureen also has a few small chips on the edges (see photos). Aside from these minor usage details, the shine of the earthenware and the vibrancy of the floral decor are impeccable.
