A base plate for an antique inkwell made of solid crystal from the Baccarat glassworks - model Bamboo Twist - listed in Baccarat catalogues. Moulded decoration in the shape of bamboo stems, twisted base. Unsigned, as it predates 1936 (the year of the introduction of stamps) - dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, it benefits from the craftsmanship and quality of cutting valued by collectors.
