Description
Coal to contain the coal used to feed the coal stove in the early 20th century kitchens. This one was used by Marguerite, district of the "Moulin Blanc" in Saint Amand les Eaux (Hauts de France). She performed good and loyal services from the 1920s to the 1980s. It contained "balls" and "gayettes" that his faithful sidekick, the coal shovel, poured into the stove's fireplace. The shovel remained in the coal mine and its handle protruded from the hole provided for this purpose. This coal miner was in the kitchen, near a huge cast iron and blue enamel stove. It is heavy, cast iron and enamelled. Its enamel has jumped in some places, as the uses and years (photos). The interior is "cheeky" by coal and dust and slightly scorched.
