Superb and rare globe or world map, drawn up by the geographer j.forest*, 17 rue de buci in paris, scale at 1: 65, 000, 000. The base is blackened wood, napoleon III. Period late nineteenth. In good general condition, there are no accidents on the globe or trace of restoration. There are some stains and yellowings, slight traces of friction, signs of wear (see all photos). The map remains beautiful and uniform in its patina. The globe is signed j. Forest (1865-?) who is a french geographer and cartographer. Suppliers to schools since 1889 and approved by the ministry of public instruction, it has also offered a lighter globe in its catalogue.
