Painted plaque “The maquis” (Burkina Faso)

Hand-painted plate by a burkinabé artist (ouagadougou), oil painting on recycled aluminum plate. Unique piece. The maquis are real institutions in west africa. In ouagadougou as elsewhere, we stop in these open-air bars to have a good beer or taste a piece of meat and chat until late at night.
