Pair of Kohn n°248 bistro chairs circa 1910

Set of 2 kohn n° 248a cane chairs. Model produced from 1902 to 1914. It was re-produced by thonet-mundus in 1925 with a round seat. No. 248 is the bistro model with a 36x38cm seat, no. 248 a is the plush version with a 41x42 cm seat. A variation of the 248a model exists depending on the production factory, or the years: some models have front legs whose diameter increases at the tangent locations and a hollow wave at the top of the backrest; other 248a have straight front legs and the top of the back almost straight - see photo of the two models together - stamp and label under each seat.
