Ateljé Lyktan floor lamp with rare oversized custom shade – Sweden, 1970s

This is a unique Ateljé Lyktan floor lamp from Sweden, 1970s, featuring a rare oversized custom shade. The base is an original Ateljé Lyktan piece, model number 630 GJ, designed for the Knubbling and Bumling series by Anders Pehrson. The shade is made of black fibreglass and Perspex with a chrome edge, measuring 80 cm in diameter, and is likely a one-off commission. The lamp is in very good condition, with minor scratches and a small scuff on the shade, and light scratching on the base consistent with age. It is fully functional, takes a standard E27 (LED) bulb, and is a striking, room-defining piece with genuine collector’s value due to its rarity.
