Superb antique gilt brass umbrella stand, produced by the belgian firm mécap, as evidenced by the stamp on the sole. Its refined shape evokes a high-stemmed officer's boot, richly decorated with an imperial coat of arms in relief, surmounted by a crowned eagle. This model bears the number 21, finely engraved in the brass. Difficult to find today, this type of piece is becoming increasingly rare on the market.
