Set of four antique candlesticks in solid oak, France, circa 1940. A beautiful set consisting of four candlesticks of the same model, made from solid oak with solid metal tips (bronze or brass) screwed in. Their simple and architectural design, combined with the beautiful patina of the wood, gives them a sculptural presence that fits well in both contemporary interiors and older homes. Originally intended for liturgical use, they now naturally find their place as decorative objects on a large table, a sideboard, a console, or in a brutalist, monastic, or wabi-sabi style interior.
