Moulded pressed glass crystal wall light 1960s

Superb vintage ceiling light (which can also be installed as a wall sconce) from the 1960s, perfectly embodying the Mid-Century / Space Age spirit. This architectural piece stands out with its ultra-thick and heavy pressed moulded glass panel (2.8 kg), featuring a myriad of bubble-effect tubes set within a striking geometric grid. The light diffusion through the relief of the crystal creates spectacular reflections. The black metal base houses two original Bakelite sockets, stamped "Italy", configured with a bayonet cap (B22), typical of high-end pieces intended for export to the French market at that time (in the style of productions by Targetti Sankey or Holophane). The internal electrical wiring has been completely restored to new. The light fixture is ready to be installed safely. Excellent overall aesthetic condition. Note some signs of age on the metal parts and a single micro-chip on the lip of the glass, which is completely recessed in the metal mount and therefore rigorously invisible once the ceiling light is hung. Requires two B22 bulbs (use of LED bulbs is strongly recommended to preserve the piece).
