Created in 2000 by philippe starck for the lan scharger's hudson hotel in new york, this stool is named after it. Available in polished or matte aluminum. Emeco produces all of its models in its own factory in pennsylvania (usa). For aluminum models, the plant has developed a 77-step production process. Emeco uses recycled and recyclable materials. All aluminum waste related to production is recycled. Aluminium models are guaranteed for life (with an expected lifespan of at least 150 years! ). The anodization technique of aluminum models emits no volatile organic compounds. Welding machines are equipped with an internal cooling system that reduces water consumption by 15%. The plant is equipped with last-generation lights that reduce electricity consumption by 24%.
