Description
The architect and designer Louis Kalff (1897-1976) joined Philips in 1925. Kalff has undertaken to modernize the Visual image of the company immediately, in designing ads and a range of electrical products. In 1946, he was appointed Chief Designer of Philips and head of the lighting division. In this position, he designed a large number of luminaires. This particular decorative model - 'NB92' as it was officially named - is hard to find, especially with an undamaged original plastic diffuser. A set of two of these lamps of different colours is virtually unique. This model, which can also be used as ceiling light, can be achieved in two colours: yellow and anthracite grey. Also in this sense it is a complete set.
