Gilberte schmit holds the institut prize, the cottet prize, the grand prix de l'académie des hespérides and the conseil général de seine et marne. Gilberte schmitt has made private exhibitions in paris, in the provinces and abroad. Some of his paintings and sanguines are bought by the city of paris, the state, the former president of the republic valéry giscard d'estaing and the king of saudi arabia mr. Ibn saud in the early 50s.
