Pichet Vallauris style Fat Lava mauve

This beautiful object is a vintage ceramic jug from Vallauris, typical of the 1960s or 1970s. It features a very characteristic and sought-after finish from that era called "sea foam" (sometimes associated with the German-influenced Fat Lava style), recognisable by its very porous, bubbling, and rough beige/yellow texture. The top of the jug is contrasted by a smooth, glossy black glaze with a central drip of intense purple. Height 20 cm.
