Very nice suspension chandelier ball, design 60 edition disderot. Creation of john and sylvia reid, christals model. Suspension in the shape of a ball, yellow in color. Suspension made of cellulose acetate filaments sprinkled with countless small pieces of lucite. Very nice soft and warm lighting. Iconic piece of the 60s unusual. In 1953, the british company rotaflex was founded by bernard stern, a painter turned industrialist. Who commissioned john and sylvia reid to design multi-award winning lamps. In addition to spun cellulose acetate, john and sylvia reid have enriched the range with the "christals" series, Consists of cellulose acetate sprinkled with countless small pieces of lucite. British rotaflex lamps were distributed in france by disderot and vice versa. Diameter 33 cm. Electrification works with wire with a length of 65 cm.
