Gerold Porzellan Bavaria 5386/2 Jar, Vase or Urn, Matte Finish with Lid, Sunflower Motif

A rare version of the 5386/2 sunflower urn by the west german porcelain brand gerold porzellan. Made in the late 1940s or early 1950s. Unusual about this particular version is its matte finish on the outside, which is normally glazed: here only the bottom of the base and the inside are glazed. Another rare feat is the inclusion of a matching lid: consultation of an expert on gerold porzellan concluded that this model is only known without a lid. It is about 14 cm wide and 14 cm tall, with a base of circa 6 cm wide and a lid of about 7 cm wide. In perfect condition, without any damages.
