Antique cast iron fire dogs – Marianne RF

This pair of vintage cast iron andirons features two busts of women adorned with a radiant crown combining stars and foliage, a silhouette that directly evokes the allegory of Marianne. Each bust rests on an architecturally structured base with projections, decorated on the front with a medallion in a laurel crown housing the initials RF (République Française). These fireplace accessories serve to elevate logs above the hearth, allowing air to circulate underneath and enabling better combustion. Overall good condition.
